Ffrindiau'r Ffin

Helpwch ni drwy ein noddi! Help us by sponsoring us!

Mae'r Gymdeithas Rhieni ac Athrawon (CRhA), neu ‘Ffrindiau’r Ffin’, wedi bodoli cyhyd ag Ysgol Gymraeg y Ffin. Dros y blynyddoedd, mae rhieni wedi cymryd yr her o redeg Ffrindiau’r Ffin er mwyn codi arian i wella'r ysgol. Mae hyn wedi parhau o'r adeg pan oedd yr ysgol wedi ei lleoli yn Sudbrook hyd at ei leoliad presennol yn Sandy Lane, Cilycoed.

Pwrpas y Gymdeithas Rhieni ac Athrawon yw cynllunio a threfnu gweithgareddau a digwyddiadau i godi arian ar gyfer adnoddau, offer a gweithgareddau ychwanegol ar gyfer ein plant i gyfoethogi eu haddysg.

Mae hefyd yn rhoi cyfle i gyfeillion yr ysgol i gyfarfod a chael hwyl gydag eraill, yn unedig yn yr achos cyffredin o gefnogi ein plant yn eu haddysg.

Rydym yn cynnal cyfarfod Ffrindiau’r Ffin bob mis i drafod yr holl faterion sy'n ymwneud â digwyddiadau a syniadau am ffyrdd i ddefnyddio'r arian a godwyd. Bydd y cyfarfodydd yn cael eu cynnal naill ai syth ar ôl ysgol neu yn yr hwyr yn y gobaith y gall y rhan fwyaf o rieni sydd am fod yn weithredol o fewn y CRhA  gallu mynychu un cyfarfod y tymor. Byddwn bob amser yn ceisio trefnu cyfarfod gyda'r nos mewn lleoliad cyfleus, megis tafarn, i sicrhau ein bod yn agored i gymaint o rieni â phosibl. Yn ogystal â hyn, gall is-bwyllgor cwrdd yn fwy rheolaidd cyn digwyddiad i helpu baratoi yn drylwyr.

Mae croeso i rieni, gwarcheidwaid a chyfeillion yr ysgol (ee cyn-ddisgyblion a’u rhieni sydd yn dal i ddymuno i gefnogi'r ysgol ) i fynychu cyfarfodydd a digwyddiadau . Nid oes angen i chi siarad Cymraeg i gymryd rhan, dim ond brwdfrydedd a pharodrwydd i helpu!

Ffrindiau'r Ffin has been in existence for as long as Ysgol Gymraeg Y Ffin. Over the years, parents of children at the school have taken on the challenge of running the PTA in order to raise funds to enhance the school. This has continued from when the school was situated in Sudbrook through to its current day setting in Sandy Lane, Caldicot.

We hold a PTA meeting every month to discuss all matters relating to upcoming events, future events, other plans and ideas of ways to best utilise the raised funds. The meetings will alternate between being immediately after school, in the school building, and in the evening, in the hope that most parents who want to be active within the PTA are able to make one meeting a term. Evening meetings will always try to be arranged in a convenient location such as a pub in order to be as open to all as possible. In addition to this, subcommittee meetings of upcoming events may meet more regularly in the run up to the event to ensure that everything runs smoothly. We have recently, successfully, trialled video conferencing a meeting in order to improve accessibility for parents.

The purpose of the PTA is to plan and organise activities and events to raise funds for extra resources, equipment and activities for our children, to enrich their education. It also provides an opportunity for friends of the school to meet and have fun with others, united in the common cause of supporting our children in their education.

Parents, guardians and friends of the school (e.g., former parents/pupils who still wish to support the school) are very welcome to attend meetings and events. There is no need to speak Welsh to get involved, you just need enthusiasm and willingness to help!
